Just think about all the 5'6" plain balding men with 5'10" model wives. Out of their league? Completely, but they married them anyway because people do take other things into consideration - like fame, money, security, charisma, wit, intelligence etc etc. Another fact is that people tend to take you at your own estimation so if you approach someone with the idea that they're too good for you then that's probably what they'll think as well. One of the problems with good-looking men is that it's difficult to see past that to decide if they are good enough for you. I like to put them to the "girl" test - pretend he's a girl that you've just met and go and talk to him (this also means you will probably be more confident yourself) then have a think about it. If he were a girl, would you make friends with her? Or is she boring/selfish/vain. It's amazing how many good looking guys fail the test because they just rely on looks all the time. On the other hand, if he passes, just chat to him as you would if he was a girl. Maybe he'll be interested, maybe he won't. There are no certainties in life you know...
